I have passed from this school in year 1997. It was a very good school. Painful to know about its present condition. Dear friend, It seems trivial to seek a donation for erecting a monument for the divine event of Kanakadharastavam that itself brings prosperity to all who seek the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi. The goddess is known to avoid those who seek her but remains with those who respect her (Talks on Gita by Vinoba Bhave) or to abandon those who show disrespect to her. When pleased, she showers golden gooseberries on the blessed. You might have known that Mahalakshmi has only a few temples exclusively dedicated to her as she is reluctant to allow her devotees to have one for her, according to godly souls. We have acquired the land where the divine incidence of Kanakadhara occurred and are in the process of erecting the monument. The trust is formed at the initiative of some Malayalees of Mumbai. The monument consists of an exquisite temple for Goddess Mahalakshmi in Panchaloham, Centre for meditation and yoga besides a Research Centre for Sri Sankara Philosophy. There will be a Souparnika with an idol of Mahalakshmi in standing position, where devotees can offer arati during sunset everyday, a nakshtravana (astrological park) where 27 trees representing 27 constellations would bestow blessing, shishu bhavan, Vruddha Sadan besides a medical centre. The complex will have residential quarters and community kitchen for those who want to stay for a number of days. The temple will have, besides the main idol of Mahalakshmi, idols of Maha Ganapati, MahaVishnu, Shiva and Adi Sankara. It is estimated to cost above `40 crores. The first stage of the complex is under construction and is to be completed by May-June 2012. The first stage would cost us `1 crore. It will be dedicated to the devotees in the first half of 2012. Soon the construction of the second stage would commence in right earnest. The complex will be an amalgamation of modern and traditional architecture, meeting international standards, and on completion is expected to be the most exclusive temple, with Srikovil to touch a height of 91 feet.(Architect’s view attached) Don’t you want members of your organisation to be associated with this noble project? While any donation is welcome, any amount above `10,000, would give them the official standing of DONOR and will have VIP status when they visit the complex. When they enroll ten donors, they would be eligible to be a trustee. If they donate `1 lakh, they would be a PATRON, again entitled to be a trustee. However, the most committed four individuals would be made trustees as and when vacancies arise after every 4 years. These options are available only during the construction the complex.
